Local Historian Anthony Sammarco
Enlightens and Delights CSHCA Members
On Monday evening, March 12, Anthony Sammarco entertained us with an hour-long slide show and oral presentation showcasing the history of the neighborhood. The extremely detailed information about the pattern of development and the architectural styles of the area was presented with great wisdom and style by the raconteur.  Mr. Sammarco's next book will have an architectural theme. Our guest was extremely generous in donating his time, as well as a book to raffle and a portion of proceeds from that evening's sale of signed books.

Weather Wreaks Havoc with CSHCA Meeting Schedule

The past two meetings of the general membership were impacted by this winter's snowy weather and the special guest appearances had to be postponed. At our meeting in February we were expecting the Saint Williams Church Choir, but instead got several inches of snow which kept the choir and much of the membership at home. The choir will entertain us at an upcoming meeting. In March the meeting was cancelled because virtually every other school, meeting and business was cancelled due to the "Blizzard of '01." Well the storm proved not to be of historic proportion and our evening with Anthony Sammarco had to be postponed one week.
