Please remove all ornaments from the tree and do not put them in plastic bags. Check your local papers for a schedule of pick-up dates by the City. Little House Food Pantry To our CSHCA Members: Thanks so much for the tremendous offering of food and household items to the Food Pantry at our holiday bash last month. It was greatly appreciated by The Little House staff!!! The CSHCA takes up a collection each month at our general meeting for this worthy cause. Please consider making a donation on a regular basis for the need locally is ongoing. Suggested non-perishable food/household items: jams, peanut butter, pasta, canned sauces/veggies, boxed or canned soup, cereal, crackers, condiments, cleaning supplies, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, shaving cream, razors..etc. Special Guest Presentation- 1/5/2004 at our CSHCA Meeting We will have a representative from The Residences at Snow Place, an exciting new affordable independent retirement community sponsored by the non-profit Sophia House, a local provider of affordable housing for seniors for over a century. First Parish Free Concerts The Sunday at Three concerts continue throughout the winter, January 25, February 22 and March 21st. The programs are most entertaining and offer a free buffet following each concert. $ donations are always welcome. Location: 10 Parish Street. Holiday Recycling This holiday season consider gift-giving alternatives to reduce packaging waste. Gift certificates, self-made hand crafts, baby-sitting offer, a home cooked meal, pledge a donation to their favorite charity in their name, offer house cleaning services (windows?), yard tasks (shoveling, spring bulb planting, raking)... Save and re-use your holiday wrapping paper for smaller items (stocking stuffers...) Oh yes, don't forget to recycle that Christmas tree in January!
