C-11 Police Station Community Meeting
Community Meetings will resume in September.

The Phoenix Project
The Phoenix Project is a group of 30 college students from around the country that come to Boston (and Dorchester) for six weeks this summer. These students will receive training in the forms of yoga and martial arts as well as serving and teaching in the communities around them. These community activists are looking for venues to teach yoga and martial arts in the Dorchester community. They are also interested in park clean ups, refurbishing local community centers, and tutoring/mentoring refugee children. If you know of any community organization that could utilize these services or of any space that they could teach free classes please contact the Phoenix Project Captain, Andrew Varyu online or at (206) 909-8868. To learn more about the Phoenix Project, visit www.bodynbrain.org. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide these young leaders to help make Dorchester and the greater Boston area a better and more peaceful place.

Inscribe your own words of remembrance and hope on the shades of simple wooden lanterns, and then release them, glimmering with candlelight, onto Lake Hibiscus at dusk. The evening starts with performances of drumming, dance, and choral music. Bring a blanket and a picnic and relax while listening to Samurai drummers music and watching folk dances. Please note: bring a flashlight to help guide your exit from the Cemetery, as there is no electrical lighting after dark. For more information contact Abigail at 617.524.3354.
