Mayor Thomas M. Menino, the Public Works and Transportation Departments ask all residents to do their part and move their cars when the street sweepers are in their neighborhoods. The city also urges residents to park in accordance with the posted street cleaning restrictions so that cars do not hinder the quality of the job to be completed. Throughout the city signs are posted indicating the street cleaning schedule for that particular street. Residents’ cars can be both ticketed and towed while parked on a street that has been posted for street sweeping. There are posted streets in every neighborhood of Boston.
