Membership Dues and Voting
All dues received on or before August 12th will be eligible to vote at our September meeting. All dues (regardless of when they were paid in 2005) are scheduled to expire in December 2005. In order to avoid any interruption in voting please renew prior to December 5th 2005.

Payment by check allows you to have a receipt of your payment. Checks may be made payable to CSHCA and submitted at our monthly meetings. Each $5.00 dues payment = one vote. If your mailing label reads Dick or Jane Smith or Dick/Jane/Spot Smith then only one (1) $5.00 payment was received and therefore one vote is allowed. If your mailing label reads Dick and Jane Smith then two (2) $5.00 payments were received and two votes are allowed.

NOTE
September 7th is the last day to register for the September 27th Primary. October 20th is the last day to register for the November 8th Election.

Voting Cards
The Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association will be re-introducing voting cards at all of our general association meetings. To be eligible to vote you must be a dues paying member 30 days prior to the meeting. Please be sure to pick up your voting card at the back of the room when you check in. At the end of the night make sure to return your voting card to the back table. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Men of Boston Cook For Women's Health
This is the 10th anniversary as one of Boston's signature fundraiser. Men of Boston supports women's health services at two of Dorchester's premier community health centers: Codman Square Health Center and Dorchester House Multi-Service Center. Each year, hundreds of delighted guests indulge in delectable samplings from Boston's finest restaurants, caterers, vineyards, and breweries; served by high-spirited celebrity male chefs from business, sports, politics, entertainment, and academia. Proceeds from the event are used to combat women's health disparities such as breast cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and HIV/AIDS. The event is Thursday, September 29th from 6:00 pm -9:00 pm in the Gala Tent located at 637 Washington Street in Dorchester, at the Codman Square Health Center. For ticket information please call Millie Clements at 617-474-1446 or check out the website: http://menofboston.com/
