Recurruing Events Now through Sept. 3, 2008 on Tuesdays through Thursdays: 2:00 - 3:00pm: WGBH Studio Tours. At WGBH, One Guest Street, Boston, MA. Go behind the scenes for a free, 45–minute tour of WGBH's new all–digital studios in Boston's Brighton neighborhood. No registration needed. Price: Free. For more info, call (617) 300-3300.

Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm, weather permitting: Observatory Public Open Night by the Astronomy Department at Boston University (Boston, MA). Come observe the night sky through telescopes and binoculars! See things you usually do not see. Learn about astronomy. Weather permitting. To find out if the Open Night will be held, call the information number no earlier than two hours before the scheduled starting time.

Now through Sunday May 4: Big Apple Circus at City Hall Plaza, Boston. The Big Apple Circus, celebrating its 30th Anniversary season, proudly presents "Celebrate!" -- a brand–new show under its famous Big Top tent. Price: $15-$62. There’ll be hula–hoops on swinging hips and flashy juggling wonders, capering dogs and high–prancing horses, soaring aerial acrobats, hilarious hi-jinks, amazing feats of strength and agility — and no one sits more than 50 feet from ringside.

May 23 - 28: Women's Health Expo at the Hynes Convention Center, Boston. FREE. The ACNM Women's Health Expo will be an interactive consumer-oriented health event. Events include a film festival, health screenings, and giveaways. For more information, call (240) 485-1800.

Wednesday evenings: Salsa Night at An Tua Nua (A New Beginning), Boston. Lessons and Schedule:
  • 7pm: "How'd they do that?!" (weekly workshop, personalized instruction!)
  • 8pm: Casino Rueda Lessons with Jam'Nastics, all levels. About Casino Rueda
  • 9pm: Salsa with Johnny and Kelly, beginner and intermediate levels

Wednesday, May 7 6:30pm - 8:30pm: Homebuying Workshop at C.F. Donovan's Restaurant, Dorchester. FREE. Boston NOW presents a home buying workshop. The Greater Boston chapter of the National Organization for Women is working to ensure that women are well-informed about their economic choices and empowered to make decisions that are best for their personal situations.
Friday, May 9 11:00am: Common Boston Weekend '08 at Ashmont/Peabody Square, Dudley Square, the Fenway, Fort Point Channel, Jackson Square and Maverick Square, Boston. Celebrate our city's neighborhoods and architecture during this free festival Featuring presentations, tours, design displays and much more.
Thursday, May 15 8:00pm: Fashion For Darfur at Felt Club, Boston. A fundraising event. Felt Boston, The Massachusetts Coalition to Save Darfur, Polina Fashion, Vinalia Restaurant, 6one7 Productions and East Coast Clubs will join together to provide an experimental, sensatory and creative event to raise funds and awareness for the Darfur Region. FASHION FOR DARFUR will offer four levels of entertainment including: themed fashion levels, live entertainment, audiovisual displays, silent and live auctions, performances, guest speakers, sponsored cocktail reception, hors d’oeuvres and more.

1:00 - 3:00pm: Critter Day - Teaching Creatures at the Boston Children's Museum, Boston. Learning about the earth’s creatures is the first step to taking care of them. Meet some amazing animals today.
Monday, May 19 6:30 - 8:30pm: FWOTB (Fine Wine on a Tight Budget) at the Boston Wine School, Boston. Taste great wines that taste more expensive than they really are. Price: $35.
Sunday, May 25 8:00am: Bike Ride for the Children of Armenia at UMass Boston, Boston. An easy, scenic bike ride starting at UMass Boston looping to Carson Beach and Lower Mills to then finish back at UMass Boston.
