The Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association By-Laws Committee
I want to thank all the Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association members that sent in submissions for
the By-Laws Committee to review. These submissions were brought to the committee and reviewed by the
group. At the time of the meeting all ideas and suggestions were discussed and changes made
accordingly.
Please remember that the ultimate goal of the Columbia-Savin Hill Civic Association. Not all members
are going to agree with every aspect of the By-Laws, but we, as a Committee have collectively done
what we think is in the best interest of the Association as a whole.

Background
At the September 11, 2006 general meeting, Ed Geary presented a document with the proposed
new CSHCA by-laws. At that meeting, the members voted to distribute the proposed by-laws
document for review by CSHCA members, instead of reading the entire by-laws document at the
next general meetings. The
proposed by-laws document

The CSHCA By-Laws Committee was designed to review the existing by-laws and make
recommendations as to how to revise them, if needed. The committee will review the
standing by-laws and bring recommendations to the general membership for a vote.
The by-laws are the heart and soul of any organization. You can't run a well-structured
organization without them. The Columbia Savin Hill Civic Association is no exception.
