Public Hearing Scheduled For March 12th On Proposed Traffic Enforcement Unit Within The BPD

A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 3:00 pm to, “discuss the possibility of creating a traffic enforcement unit within the Boston Police Department, and exploring the pros and cons of installing traffic enforcement cameras.”

This matter was sponsored by Council President Andrea Campbell, and the Boston City Council Committee on Public Safety And Criminal Justice.

Members of the public are invited to attend and to testify. The hearing will be held in Iannella Chamber, 1 City Hall Square, 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02201. The City Council instructs persons wanting to testify to:

“… please arrive five (5) minutes before the call of the hearing to sign up and become familiar with the hearing format, testimony locations and sound system. Please bring fifteen (15) copies of any written documentation you wish to present at the hearing. Written comments may be made part of the record and available to all Councilors…”
