History Tour (7/12) Review

  • It was a success with about 55 people in attendance.
  • Pantry Pizza donated lunch.
  • We need to look into a more powerful portable amp system for outdoors.
  • We agreed to make a $200 donation to the Dorchester Historical Society.
    • Michelle will get the mailing address.
    • Des can write out and send the check.

  • We need to have a $500 check sent to One of One Hundred non—profit for this event.
  • It is listed as Pleasant Community Day
  • Alix will send Michelle and Des an email listing checks that need to go out.

  • It is generally an acoustic event.

CSHCA Community Picnic, August 23

  • Rain Location
    • Southline
      • Says we would need to pay $786 for use of the space and give them 2-3 days prior notice of whether we need the space – the day of the event is too late.
      • They will still provide the electricity for the amps and allow parking of the food truck on their property.
    • Other options include:
      • Cristo Rey – Alix will reach out to Rosemary Powers for use of their space as a back-up in case of rain. Bill, Don, and Doreen have connections with Rosemary.
      • First Parish Church
        • This would need to be arranged beforehand and depends on their own schedule of activities.
        • There would be a fee/donation of $400 for the space.
  • Porta-Potty
    • Heidi is looking into rates from various vendors.
    • Alix was unable to determine whom Southline used in the past.
    • Heidi should just price them out, pick one, and go with it.
    • We are asking Senator Nick Collins if he can donate the cost for this.
  • Musicians
    • Open Mic/Playlist
    • Singer Songwriter Almira
    • Sand Machine
