Community Picnic Review
- The picnic was well attended with 70-80 attendees.
- People seemed to enjoy the food truck selections.

- Doreen will reach out to Donna on the $350 porta potty donation from Senator Collins.
- Yeanies and Banshees donated $300 and $500 respectively.
- We brought in $212 from raffles minus $65 for the gift cards and treats.
- Donations for the raffles came from:

- Honeycomb
- James Hobin
- Michelle Miller paid for and was reimbursed for the food truck for $1,595.
Yard Sale, Saturday, Sept 6, 9 AM – 2 PM, rain date: Saturday, Sept 13
- Heidi needs help hanging flyers in the flats of Savin Hill and by the JFK T station.
- Some flyers we hung were torn down and need to be replaced.
- Heidi will call about possibly getting the police ice cream truck.
- This year, participants are putting their own dots on the map; very few needed assistance.
- The cut off will be the night before, when we will print and hang the maps.
- We should set up a CSHCA table with water, CSHCA tote bags for sale, maps and the banner,
- Alix will message E-Board members to ask for
- Volunteers to take shifts at the table
- Ideas for the best location to set up. Some ideas include:
- At the bottom of the hill near the stone marker
- In front of the Motley Apartments
- Near the T station
- In front of the Daily with permission, of course.
- Michelle is willing to print out the Venmo information for people to pay.
- The tote bags will be sold for $10 each. Heidi is willing to take some of the bags and sell them at our location.
- Just an FYI, the stick ball tournament is also taking place in the courts on September 6.
- The Pleasant Street Block Party is also the same day, and they requested we have a presence there although Events Committee members are busy and unavailable.
- Alix will see if anyone from E-Board would be willing to have a table at this event.
- We need to send them a check for $500 from our approved budgeted “extra funds” item.
Music in the Park, Sunday, September 21, 11AM – 1 PM
- When booking musicians, Heidi will see if they are available for a rain date of Sunday, Sept. 28. If they are not available for the 28th as well and if it rains on the 21, it will be canceled.
- Heidi would like to hang flyers before the yard sale looking for musicians willing to participate.
- Heidi envisions an all-acoustic event with maybe power just for a mic.
- A number of musicians can perform 2-3 songs each.
- Alix mentioned Mary’s band The Emberist (?) and will send Heidi their contact information.
- Doreen will apply for the park permit for both dates, expecting around 75 people.
- We could plan on having a table with flyers, pizza, pre-packaged cookies, coffee, and pastries.
Upcoming Events
- The Halloween Parade by the Mothers’ Group. Date and time TBD.
- We should have a CSHCA table at this event with hot water and coffee, cocoa, or tea; lollipops and totes for sale.
- Caroling in December
- It will be adults only via sign up to control numbers.
- We can begin advertising for this in early November.
Other Business
- Michelle says we have about $550 built up in our fund raising.
- We still need to donate $200 to the Dorchester Historical Society for hosting the historic walking tour in July. It can be taken from our pre-approved “extra funds” line item.
- Alix will talk with Des about our budget and payments.
